Alphabet’s Project Loon gets OK to use balloons to revive Puerto Rico cell service

What: The Lighter-Than-Air Society’s 65th Annual Banquet and Silent Auction.

Where: The Greek Community Center, 129 S Union Street, Akron, Ohio.

When: Saturday, October 14, 2017.

  • Social hour 5 p.m.
  • Dinner 6 p.m.
  • Program 7 p.m.

Speakers: Joe and Paul-Helmut Kindling, sons of airship pioneer Paul H. Kindling.

This year’s auction will once again include a certificate for a flight for two (2), on a Goodyear blimp. This certificate has been donated by The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
