On March 15 Aaron Keirns gave a talk about the crash of the USS Shenandoah, the US Navy’s first rigid airship. The dirigible crashed in Noble County, Ohio on September 3, 1925. Fourteen crew members lost their lives, including the commanding officer, Lt. Cdr. Zachary Lansdowne. Continue reading

Lawsuit Filed Against Navy for Destroyed Experimental Airship

The makers of a state-of-the art airship have filed a $65 million lawsuit against the U.S. Navy after the helium-filled dirigible was crushed when part of the roof of the hangar where it was stored collapsed on it.

U.S. House of Representatives Launches Airship Caucus
