March 15: Talk about America’s Forgotten Airship Disaster

Author Aaron Keirns will give a talk about his book, “America’s Forgotten Airship Disaster, the Crash of the USS Shenandoah” at the Garst Museum, 205 North Broadway Street, Greenville, OH 45331.

Mr. Keirns’ presentation will be accompanied by a selection of photographs related to the topic from his private collection. Also, The Lighter-Than-Air Society will display some of the artifacts from its collection relating to the USS Shenandoah.

Greenville was the hometown of LCDR Zachary Lansdowne who was the dirigible’s captain who lost his life at the time of the crash in Noble County, Ohio.

Judy Hunt and CDR C. Lansdowne Hunt, USN (Ret), the captain’s grandchildren are scheduled to attend.

The author will have a book signing after his talk.
