February 12, 1935 – February 12, 2015: 80th Anniversary of the Loss of the USS Macon

Eighty years ago, on February 12, 1935 the Navy’s dirigible ZR-5, USS Macon was lost as it crashed into the Pacific Ocean, off Monterey Bay.
